Enjoy the Finger Lakes
with Local Insight
The Black Walnut Bed & Breakfast offers a more personalized stay, where you’ll receive genuine attention and curated recommendations from your host, Jen, while she whips you up a delicious and seasonal breakfast made from scratch. There’s no front desk, no cookie-cutter room layout, and no generic continental spread. Just a beautifully restored 200-year-old farmhouse, local knowledge, and room to relax.
Farmhouse Charm
This beautiful old house has a few little gems to enhance your stay. Our guests love to sip coffee in the garden, relax and read in the sunroom, and play games around the locally-made communal table. In the evenings, we encourage guests to relax in a comfy chair and sip on the spoils from their favorite Finger Lakes’ winery. A lovely end to the perfect day.
A Comfy Retreat
From the centuries-old wood plank floors and sloped ceilings, to the plush beds and updated technology capabilities, our guest rooms offer the modern travel comforts you expect wrapped in traditional farmhouse touches. Snuggle in with a movie or a good book and unwind from the day’s activities in your cozy space.

TOUR.
The Finger Lakes has emerged as one of the most notable US wine regions outside of California, often likened to the Rhine Valley, as well as growing many of the Bordeaux varietals. Beyond the dedicated viticulture that has blossomed in recent decades, local breweries, cideries, and distilleries abound.
EXPLORE.
Spend a peaceful morning hiking through nearby gorge parks and basking in the beauty of breathtaking waterfalls. Swim, paddleboard, kayak, or boat on the nearby lakes. Beyond the natural beauty surrounding the Inn, there are fantastic museums, local shops, and artist studios awaiting your discovery!
ENJOY.
Abundance truly does surround us in the Finger Lakes. Enjoy a relaxing lunch on an outdoor patio in the sun, a fine dining experience at nearby farm-to-table restaurants, or visit one of the local farms to take a cheese-making tour, try horseback riding or goat yoga, and many other unique experiences.
